The Alex & The Eleanor + 1

Once again she is cuter then I thought possible. Lots of smiles, and giggles now too, and chatting, and her big achievement - rolling over back to tummy!It was on her 4 month birthday exactly - we were at a job site on the UES, and she was laying on a blanket happy as could be, and I was climbing a ladder to look at a light and when I turned to look at her she was on her belly! I rolled her back to her back and she almost immediatly rolled again. It is very exciting since it means she can sleep on her stomach now - which they say will mean she will sleep better, although I have yet to have evidence of that. Often when she rolls during the day, she will roll over and be very interested in things for a while, and then start to cry like she forgot how to roll back. Or maybe she is frustrated she can’t crawl yet - she sometimes get her knees under her in a promising way, but luckily I think we have a while for that. She is getting the whole move towards something she wants a little - she will roll to a toy off to her side.

She continues to drool a bunch and put everything possible in her mouth - some people think she is teething, I am less convinced of it, but we will see. She is doing very well in her crib at night - goes to sleep with out a complaint, still wakes up several times during the night, but she eats and goes right back to sleep, so it could be worse. And she is in bed for a good long time - she will go to sleep at 7:30 or 8 (its getting earlier) and sleep until 8 or sometimes 9 or this morning 9:45! Now if we could just drop the 3am and 6am wakings…..and work on napping better as well.

She has a new toy at the office - a jumparoo. She only played in it a bit today, and she’s almost too small - I need to put something under her feet so they touch, but I think its because she is so thin, not that she is not tall enough. She seemed to like it though, I hope for great things - or at least a couple minutes to get work done here and there.
