The Alex & The Eleanor + 1

Teething Bites.  And hurts. A lot.  Luckily there are all sorts of interesting things to chew on. Straps and buckles. Drafting rulers. Umbrellas. Shoes. Iphone. Good lord child, do your parents not buy you any toys? Well dur,  if I am allowed to play with it, its not fun. Or at least no where near as much fun.

The last week or has been pretty rough, I can feel 2 teeth under the gums on the top, but they just aren’t cutting! Hurry up! Please! I hope all 4 come in at once so we do not have to go through with this again (soon).

She is not yet officially crawling, though it could happen at any time - she is quite capable of getting around though, with a rather efficient commando crawl. But she would rather walk, thank you - real cruising style, mommy holding her hands overhead she will beeline for whatever it is she wants (see above).  I think she will be happier when she can get herself in a sitting position, as she has figured out that is a good place to play.

Chatting is coming around as well - we have some ga-da-da-da-da’s, much to Alex’s intense delight. Some goo-goo’s as well. She just can’t make up her mind what she wants to work on! Talking or crawling? So many things to do!

Food is becoming lots of fun - got the go ahead from the pediatrician to start trying all sorts of food, so we have had cheese grits and polenta and some very fluffly gnocci and our favorite - crusty bread. Going out for meals is now a lot more exciting! Her favorites right now are yogurt (she can’t get enough and lunges after it if she doesn’t get it fast enough) and pear sauce, but beets and sweet potato’s are ok. Apple sauce and carrots are not favorites.
